Rest in Pieces: Jenga-ish Ridiculous Roommate Roleplaying
Created by Pete "The Landlord" Petrusha at Imagining Games
Fill the shoes of a fed-up deadbeat roommate that happens to share a cramped studio apartment with none other than the Grim Reaper! What can go wrong, does go wrong in this ridiculous game about bad days and difficult roommates.
Rest in Pieces is a dark comedy tabletop roleplaying game inspired by the misadventures, cartoon logic, and over-the-top characters of slacker sitcoms like The Grim Adventures of Billy & Mandy, the Regular Show, Rick & Morty, and It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia.
Plays with a Two-Color Jenga-ish Block Tower and a unique deck of 108 cards that teach the rules, describe characters, and create overarching problems. With 14 unique problem scenarios to rile up your roommates, you’ll be ready to play in minutes!
3-6 Players (With GM), 1 Hour, Mature Themes for Immature Play
*Contains suggestive themes, crude humor, and strong language.

VOTE! Rest in Pieces is Nominated for BEST RULES in the ENNIES!

Hiya Roomie!
Can you believe it? Out of thousands of submissions, Rest in Pieces is up for Best Rules! AND, it's all thanks to YOU! Without you, this silly little game would never have been possible.
Death, we're ENNIE nominated baby!
If you don't know, the ENNIES are the closest thing we have to the Oscars or Emmys in the tabletop RPG industry. Just being nominated is a dream come true! Now, it turns into a bit of a popularity contest. Nominations are picked by a handful of Judges that are elected each year. Then, for one week, the public votes for their favorites. That week is NOW!
Voting is super easy! Click the category you'd like to vote for and give a 1 to your top choice.
As you may remember, Rest in Pieces is the product of a tabletop game design journey to innovate on the groundbreaking work of Epidiah Ravachol's indie classic Dread. It takes inspiration from amazing storytelling games like Fiasco (pacing), Dread (core mechanic), Zombie World (character card design and character creation), and For the Queen (prompts, rules from cards). Some are calling RiP the Cards Against Humanity roleplaying game. Given how often players are one upping each other to do the most horrible things possible, I'd have to agree, lol.
I'd appreciate your vote!
And, Death has no intention of giving that medal back...

Hiya Roomie!
Looks like just about every backer has received their copy of Rest in Pieces and Death couldn't be happier! There's just so many couches to choose from...
There's still one or two international orders that the post either forgot to scan or is pushing a fourth week out for delivery. If that's you, let me know!
Want more Rest in Pieces?
You can now find all the Expansion Decks and Death Plushies in the Imagining Games Webstore. Did you miss out on sharing a pad with the Great Cthulhu, Rick Sanchez, or the 80's Dungeon...er... Game Master?
They can't wait for some new roommates!
While you're there, check out my first game, Dreamchaser: A Game of Destiny. It's a beautiful game that will draw out your players' greatest hopes for an RPG and bring them to the table. It's nearly sold out and on the brink of going out of print.
Gen Con 2022
I'd love to share my games with more potential roommates.
Want to help?
Over at Imagining Games, we're scheduling game events for Gen Con and could use another Rest in Pieces volunteer or two. We can slip you a free badge for Gen Con for 12 hours of volunteering ($130+ Value + No Lines) to run Rest in Pieces or a mix of our "Imagining" games.
CHEW: The Roleplaying Game is now on Gamefound to preorder or late pledge.
This is your LAST CHANCE to grab the special edition books signed by CHEW Creators John Layman & Rob Guillory, and likely, hardcovers in general. The Investigative Corkboards and Mother Cluckin' Buckets of Chicken Dice will be limited and could run out quick. You can get them all with the Three Piece and a Soda pledge.
Thank you all so much!
Many of you have gone on this Kickstarter journey with me time and again. Don't think it has gone on unnoticed! I have personally messaged every backer I have ever had in every campaign I've run. I recognize your names and am proud to call so many of you friends.
You make my dreams possible.

THEY'RE HERE!

The Wait is Over
Rest in Pieces is finally here and ready to ship to you!
After a month of having our cargo passed over by potential delivery drivers from the DHL warehouse, I hunted down a box truck with a liftgate and arranged to pick it up myself.
It became clear that we weren't going to find a driver this holiday season without spending nearly half what it cost to get it here from China. I just couldn't accept that.
I Learned a Lot
I had to call over 40 locations just to secure a box truck with a liftgate. When I did finally reserve one, I had to wait to actually have the keys in my hand to believe it. A lot of folks keep truck rentals beyond their due date, so reservations can fall through when demand is high.
As for the delivery, I learned you do actually bump the bay doors with the back of your truck to be loaded (there are little rubber pads on the wall) and that a liftgate can be too small (particularly when unloading on an incline). I also didn't know that truckers waited so long to be loaded and unloaded (without pay) at warehouses. I was there for three hours and I hear that's pretty typical.
Also, you don't have to sign out, they just say that!
All's Well that Ends Well
Keep an eye out for your delivery.
Most domestic orders will go out with 2-4 day priority mail through the USPS. it is the holiday season, so things do usually run slower than normal with mail.
You should've received an email reminder to doublecheck your shipping address on Friday. if you've moved since Spring, please give it a look. Otherwise, you're all set and should be seeing your game soon.
If you have any questions, feel free to shoot me an email at [email protected] or to comment below.
Thank you for your patience in these unprecedented times! I'm very excited to finally unite you with your copy of RiP.
Death is too!
-Petey "Chu" Petrusha- The Landlord
P.S. When you get your game, make good use of your Instigator Deck, GMs are saying it makes a world of difference! And, for even more chaos, shuffle the blocks instead of stacking them in interchanging order.

Shipping Update: In Chicago!

In Chicago!
Hiya gang!
Our games are in a shipping container in Chicago awaiting their turn to be unloaded in DHL's Warehouses there. We're getting close! Stacey, my broker with DHL, stressed that the container is there but that it hasn't been "received" by DHL yet. That means that there's still documentation and customs related things to be done. That said, the game is just 40 miles away from being fulfilled *knock on wood*! I'll let you know when they call me to schedule delivery.
I was at Gamehole Con last week and our games of Rest in Pieces were GREAT! I'm so glad that each of you is getting an Instigator Deck. Having run more games with it, I can't imagine NOT having it. Players had a blast! They kept coming up to me all weekend to tell me just how much fun they had. If only I had copies to sell (doh)! We've also found some groups really enjoy shuffling the blocks of the tower for a more chaotic experience instead of layering the blocks light, dark, light, etc. The blocks represent selfish actions (dark) vs. selfless actions (light).
CHEW Kickstarter
There's just one week left in our Kickstarter for CHEW: The Roleplaying Game! There are Kickstarter Exclusive Signed Special Editions (By the Comic Creators), Deluxe Slipcases, and Chicken Buckets with Chicken Dice. Get them before they're gone!
Based on the award-winning Image comic books and Forged in the Dark rules, play quirky FDA agents as they police egg dealers, chicken traffickers, and food-powered criminals in a clucked up world!
It's zany, it's dark, it's absurd, and it's all kinds of fun! CHICKEN IS DOOM!
I'm really sorry about the delay! I wish there was more I could do. I had never planned to run this new Kickstarter before the last one was fulfilled. It's just how the cookie crumbled this year!
Thank you for your support!

Quick Update on Shipping & Fulfillment
I was really hoping to tell you that your game is in the mail at this point of the month. But sadly, the sea freight delays due to the cargo container shortages continue to postpone our shipment. Every time I ask about the status of our shipment, it seems to get pushed back.
I reached out to DHL, our sea freight carrier, several days ago to make sure there would be no delay due to any payment on my end. I wanted to make sure that when the cargo arrives in the States it wasn't going to be held up by me.
I was informed that the cargo had shipped later than expected and would arrive at the port of Vancouver, WA on October 6th. If all goes according to plan, it will then be loaded and driven to our warehouses for fulfillment in Indiana. Ideally, your games will start shipping to you 1-2 weeks later. I'll be notified when they arrive in the US and charged for freight, so I hope to have more info for you very soon.
Thank you for your patience!
You've all been very wonderful to me as I begin to feel more and more like a broken record. Life is what happens while you're making your plans. COVID did a number on the sea freight industry and we've (game companies) all been affected more than we'd like. I'm a very small client for DHL, so while I fight for our shipment, I don't have a lot of leverage here.
This game wouldn't have been possible without your help! I'm very very sorry for the inconvenience.
-Pete
P.S. I'm also very very excited for you to get your copy! :D
